Known problems:
- The HTML pages provided by KingOfSat.Net :
- cause sometimes problems because the used syntax is not always 100% consistent
and they sometimes change the setup/layout of the pages.
This can result in a wrong/failing translation to XML.
- may contain textual changes in service names which causes the "update" function of the "Drag/Drop bouquets" tab to remove services because it seems to be 'not present'.
Examples: "SBS 6" changed into "SBS6" or "Nederland 1 HD" changed into "HDTV Nederland 1 HD".
- may contain multiple services with equal service idents. Unfortunatly the dreambox database (and thus DreamboxEdit) can only except one unique service ident (the first) per transponder and skips any following services with the same service ident.
Examples: "Disney XD Nederlands Daytime" and "Veronica Evenings" both with service ident sid="2031" on ASTRA 1F,1G,1H,1KR,1L - Europe 12343.50H.
- may contain in some languages unicode characters (UTF8).
They are handled correctly by the program (KingOfSat_XML_unicode.exe).
Unfortunatly DreamboxEdit does not support unicode characters.
Filenames containing unicode characters
are not recognized by DreamboxEdit, bouquet names with unicode
characters are not displayed correctly and the files transfered to your
box are incorrect. I am told that the VU+ with
OpenPLI should support unicode characters.
It is advised to use only the English, Dutch, French, German pages.
Examples of pages with unicode characters are: Arabic, Greek, Turkish or whenever you see a "?"
in the bouquet names (KingOfSat_XML.exe): the page has unicode characters.
- The program is not wiseguy proof. Trying to be one by tweaking files may result in crashes of this program or DreamboxEdit.
Tested on/with: Windows7 with Display 1680*1050, Windows XP with Display 1280*1024 / DreamBoxEdit IHAD 4.1.0.0, Vu+ with OpenPli (up to date)
