Wait with buying parts until you are sure you can get ALL the required parts.
And at least until you have worked out your solution for the difficult to get parts.
Don't start and see until you reach that difficult part ....
Be wise. You need everything before you start.

Quick Overview and composition drawing:


  1. - Rear-axle (tube AU4G 35x31 L=1000 mm)
  2. - Central frame tube (tube AU4G 35x25 L=420 mm)
  3. - Side frame tube (2 tubes AU4G 35x31 L=700 mm)
  4. - Down tube (tube AU4G 35x31 L=500 mm)
  5. - Legs of front fork (2 tubes AU4G 35x31 L=250 mm)
  6. - Foot pegs (2 tubes AU4G 35x31 L=250 mm)
  7. - Tube horizontal front fork (tube AU4G 35x31 L=250 mm)
  8. - Head downtube / Ballhead (?) (tube AU4G 35x25 L=85 mm)
  9. - Wheel complete from ALROC (Ø 400 x 80 mm / axle Ø 20 mm !!!!)
  10. - Armrest or side support (2 tubes PVC Ø 32 mm L=600 mm)

Warnings:

You will find aluminium tube at your local hardware store. This is not the required alloy (composition of metals with much aluminium). It is pure aluminium which will tear to pieces when you use it for the buggy. Not the first day you drive the buggy. But unexpected and at high speed. Maybe the surfae will start to show hairline cracks before ....

From the kite shop or Alroc-Roux S.A.:

  • 3 complete wheels (the used wheel has sealed ballbearings 6004 2RS with dimensions 20x42x12).
    NOTE: These used wheels are fixed to the rear-axle with 20 mm thread rod/nut.

For the frame and front fork:

  • 5 fittings Kee Klamp® 10-6 (for the front fork)
  • 5 fittings Kee Klamp® 45-6 (for the complete frame or chassis)
  • Don't forget to buy 1 or 2 Allen tools (reference n° 99 from the Kee Klamp® cataloge), The metric allen tools found in all shops in Europe will not fit. Kee Klamp uses typical Britisch sizes instead of the Metric.
  • 5 m tube dural AU4G 35 x 31 mm (chassis, frame, front fork)
  • 0,60 m tube dural AU4G 35 x 25 mm (central fram tube, see 2)
  • 0,50 m tube dural AU4G 30 x 26 mm (used for reinforments)

For the seat:

  • a one piece plastic (polypropylene) seat
  • 1,20 m of PVC tube Ø 32 mm
  • 1 m of foam tube as used for bicycles, or you could use the foam as used to isolate the central heating tubes.
  • 4 bolts, nuts and rings stainless steel Ø 8 mm to fix the armrest.

To fit the rear wheels to the rear-axle:

  • 2 x 180 mm thread rod steel dur (42CD4) Ø 20 mm (axles)
  • 2 Spacers hexagonal steel, thread inside Ø 20 mm (remove sharp edges)
  • 2 nuts stainless steel, Ø 20 mm (used as contra-nut)
  • 2 nuts with Nylon stop, stainless steel Ø 20 mm

To fit the front wheel in the front fork:

  • 210 mm steel thread rod dur (42CD4) Ø 20 mm (axle)
  • 10 cm tube dural AU4G or stainless steel 27 x 21 mm (Spacers G et D for the wheel)
  • 2 nuts stainless steel Ø 20 mm
  • 2 rings stainless steel Ø 20 mm

To fit the downtube to the front fork:

  • 160 mm thread rod stainless steel Ø 16 mm
  • 1 hexagonal steel spacer, inside thread Ø 16 (remove sharp edges)
  • 1 nut stainless steel Ø 16 mm
  • 2 nuts with Nylon stop, stainless steel Ø 16 mm
  • 10 cm vinyl reinforced tube 23 x 15 mm
