In Fiss we enjoyed being the guest of the family Kathrein in "Haus Sunnbichl".

This winter and spring Fiss had a lot of snow.

Altfinstermünz.
Until 1854 all traffic (people and goods) to Italy via the Reschenpass had to travel via this customs and toll bridge. Following the old Roman trail (via Claudia Augusta). This bridge was mentioned for the first time in 1263. The current tower and fortifications (Sigmundseck) were build in the 15th century.

The Alpenzoo shows the actual and historical animals from the Alps.

Not all the grass was harvested. The pastures are covered with thousands of flowers. Beautiful views.

Looking to the skies when the sun is going down, you can see the most unusual cloud formations.

Walking in the "Rosengarten slucht" (Rose garden cleft) in Imst. Fast running water with a lot of waterfalls and rapids. The path is narrow and slippery.

Innsbruck.
We visited the "Hofkirche" before.
But now the restoration of the cenotaph (the decorated sarcophagus of Maximiliaan I) is nearly finished. So time to pay another visited to the church.

Obsaurs.
A hamlet (a church, a convent and a few houses) near Schönwies and Zams. Above this little village towers the ruine of the Kronburg, originally build in 1063. Driving on the A-12 motorway (Inntal autobahn) you can see this former castle.
From Obsaurs a small foothpath goes to the ruine, about 100 metres above Obsaurs.

Breath taking views all the time
The mountain itself is 2.808 metres high. We didn't go for the top, but followed the "three countries" walk.
A view on the "Oberes Inntal" (Higher Inn valley)
During the walk we crossed the borders of Switzerland, Italy and Austria many times. On the mountain is a specific point (a stone), where the three countries meet.

Lake Urg. The valley of the Urg is very quiet. Lots of clear brooks. You only sounds you hear are coming from the the birds and the streaming water.

The "Stuibenfall" near Umhausen in the Oetztal is the highest (150 m) waterfall of Tirol (Austria).

The last weekend of our vacation we spent in the south eastern part of the Netherlands.
If you are in the city of Maastricht crossing the river using the "Sint Servaas" bridge is a must.

The Plansee near Reutte
We stayed in Todtmoos in the middle of the highest part of the Black Forest (Hoch Schwarzwald). From the top of the Hochkopf near Todtmoos you have a beautiful view.

The Alsace is not only famous for the wine. Driving along the 'Route du vin' you will find the most beautiful places like Colmar, Riquewihr and Eguisheim. Timbered houses, medieval atmosphere and of course the tourist and wine industry.
